Description
Linseed flour is versatile in use and can absorb a large amount of liquid. It is rich in valuable omega-3 fatty acids, protein and fibre. It is obtained by grinding partially de-oiled linseed. The nutrients are retained in the flour and can be easily absorbed by the body.
Linseed flour is a great ingredient in desserts, smoothies, veggie burgers, baked goods and much more.
Note: Linseed flour can replace grain flour by up to 20% - please keep this in mind when substituting for grain flour in your usual recipes. A general rule of thumb is to replace 100 g of grain flour with 75 g linseed flour. Also, increase the amount of liquid in the recipe to achieve the usual consistency.
Linseed flour is not suitable for children under 13 years of age!
Tip: Use linseed flour as a substitute for egg - stir 1 tablespoon into 90 ml water. Your egg substitute is ready!
