Description
Mesquite pods from Peru make a great gluten-free flour substitute. Nutritious food has been used for over 2000 years. Its sweet caramel flavour makes it very popular.
- Mesquite prefers to grow in dry locations both as a tree and as a shrub. In addition to the feathered leaves and spherical light yellow flowers, the mesquite tree also grows elongated, crescent-shaped pods.

- After harvesting, the legumes are dried at low temperatures
