Raab Vitalfood Organic Jerusalem Artichoke Powder, 150 g

Jerusalem artichoke is an ancient Indian cultivated plant and has been cultivated in Central Europe for around 300 years. The tuber of the Jerusalem artichoke plant was considered an important food, especially in the 19th century. Because of its relationship with the sunflower, Jerusalem artichoke is also known as "sun tuber". The pleasantly nutty tasting Jerusalem artichoke tuber consists of approx. 40% inulin, a swellable, indigestible carbohydrate. Inulin is stored as reserve material in a large number of plants. In contrast to starch, inulin consists of many fructose units that are made available to the plant as an energy supplier when required.

Consumption recommendation:

• 2 - 3 teaspoons daily.
• The powder can be stirred into dairy products and salad dressings, for example, or used for baked goods.

Hints:

• Colour and taste can vary, as it is a natural product that is subject to seasonal fluctuations.
• Store cool, dry and tightly closed.
• Filling level due to technical reasons.

Ingredients
for 2 people:

• 3 tbsp almond butter
• 3 tbsp sunflower oil
• 1 tbsp Raab organic Jerusalem artichoke powder
• 1 tbsp cocoa
• 1 teaspoon vanilla powder (optional)

How to do it

Stir almond butter with sunflower oil until smooth; Stir in the Jerusalem artichoke powder and cocoa. Possibly season with vanilla powder. Finished!
Tip: The tart, sweet Jerusalem artichoke flavour also refines smoothies.
