Description
A special formula for the specific dietary needs of babies from birth onwards as the sole source of nutrition and as complementary food after 6 months.
HN Expert by Humana was developed for infants and young children and is intended for feeding and support in cases of frequent or prolonged diarrhoea and the resulting loss of fluids.
The recipe contains a high content of carbohydrates, including pregelatinised rice flour, starch and fibre from banana powder, which help bind water in the intestines. The formula also has a high casein content in the protein. Casein helps slow down intestinal movement.
Diarrhoea can temporarily impair the digestion of milk sugar (lactose), which is why the formulation in HN Expert has a reduced lactose content.
More information about the formulation:
- With maltodextrin
- With galactooligosaccharides
- Reduced fat content
- Pleasant banana flavour
Directions:
Food for special medical purposes (balanced diet).
Humana HN Expert is suitable for the dietary management of infants with frequent or prolonged diarrhoea.
Important information about Humana HN Expert:
- Breast milk is the best nutrition for your baby. Consult your paediatrician or doctor if you would like to use infant formula.
- Humana HN Expert is based on cow's milk protein and is not suitable for those have a cow's milk protein allergy, lactose intolerance or disorders of glucose and galactose metabolism.
- Humana HN Expert is suitable as the sole nutrition of infants from birth onwards or as a supplementary food after 6 months.
- Use Humana HN Expert under medical supervision only.
- Always consult a doctor if your baby has diarrhoea and the diarrhoea symptoms do not improve.
- Suitable for enteral nutrition only.
- Do not let your baby suck on the bottle for prolonged periods of time. Like breast milk, infant formula contains carbohydrates, which can cause tooth decay (caries) in case of frequent or prolonged contact with the teeth.
- Once opened, close the pack tightly after each use and use it up within 3 weeks.
