Description
Even if you don't have much experience baking, this mixture makes it easy to whip up a delicious loaf of bread or a few breadsticks! Carefully composed of high-quality ingredients, the bread can be coated with the enclosed spice mixture, giving it a gorgeously smoky paprika flavour. It's perfect for baking in grills or ovens.
Ingredients needed:
- 450 ml water
- 3 tablespoons water, apple juice or beer.
Instructions:
- Crumble up the spice ball over a small bowl. Add 5 tablespoons of apple juice, beer or water, stir and set aside.
- Add 450 ml of water to the baking mix in a bowl and knead well by hand or with a suitable mixer.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for about 20-30 minutes.
- Knead the dough again, shape it and let it rest for another 20 minutes at room temperature.
- Preheat the oven (electric) or the grill to 230 ° C
- Stir the rub to a creamy consistency and spread it over the bread.
- Coat the baking paper in water to give your bread a nice, crunchy crust!
Oven: place the bread on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Bake at 230 ° C for 10 minutes, then reduce to 190 ° C and bake again for about 15 minutes.
Grill: place the bread at 230 ° C directly on the wire rack in indirect heat, close the lid, open the ventilation slide and bake for about 20 minutes.
Tip:
- The rub can also be used to marinate meat, vegetables or grilled cheese. Simply put the meat, vegetables or cheese on the grill and brush with the rub.
